What is Plantable?

Plantable is a plant based intervention program that delivers nutritious, delicious, fully prepared meals to your home and puts a real live coach in your pocket.

Plantable helps you make the transition to a supportive whole food, plant-based diet, free from added sugar, easy, and delicious. The easiest way to jump in is with the Reboot!

Why does Plantable work?

What we eat impacts the body’s biochemistry, releasing hormones, and driving behaviors. A plantable diet is a whole food, plant-based way of eating - filled with fiber and packed with nutrients. This keeps blood sugar stable, providing a constant stream of energy (goodbye afternoon crash)!

What is The Reboot?

The Reboot is our signature 28-day program that combines meals, one-on-one coaching and all the lifestyle tools you’ll need to reset your habits. You’ll experience immediate results with long-lasting change. The Reboot is a lifestyle transformation program, with clinically-supported results including long-term weight loss, improvement in energy, reduction in waist circumference as well as an improvement in several commonly measured blood markers.

Can I use my HSA or FSA dollars to pay for Plantable?

The Plantable dietary intervention program is non-refundable. We recommend that you call your HSA and FSA provider prior to the purchase of the program as program requirements vary across the country.

What can I expect from the Plantable Coaching program?

We are so glad you asked this question. Each Reboot and Quickstart participant has access to a LIVE Plantable Coach, but the first step is up to YOU. We also understand that Coaching is not for everyone, so if this is not for you feel free to skip this step.

When you choose to participate in either the Quickstart or Reboot program, you will receive an email with instructions that teach you how to download our App. Once downloaded, the Coaching program begins with an onboarding survey (within our App) so that we can get to know you. Once the survey has been completed, you can make your first Coaching appointment using a link to our calendar. Moving forward you have access to your coach through calls, email and texting! 

How are Plantable meals prepared, exactly?

Plantable’s meals are made from scratch in Brooklyn, New York, and flash-frozen for freshness and to lock in nutrients. They arrive fully prepared and frozen, and take only a few minutes to heat and enjoy.

How should Plantable meals be stored?

We recommend you store the meals in the freezer and keep 1 or 2 days’ worth of food in the refrigerator to thaw out naturally. Our meals last up to 8 weeks in the freezer, and up to 1 week in the fridge after they’ve defrosted.

How often are the meal options refreshed?

Plantable’s menu refreshes weekly. If any inventory is sold out, this is instantly updated.

Why are the meals frozen?

This isn’t your mom’s TV dinner. Without adding any preservatives, our frozen meals allow for the flexibility busy lives demand. And remember, when we said we love our local producers? Frozen meals prevent unnecessary food waste.

Is the food vegan?

Yes, furthermore we do not use processed meat or dairy alternatives.

Is the food organic?

We source organic as much as possible and where it makes sense. But, we also love our local producers, some of whom have not yet obtained an organic certification. Our meals are also non-GMO!

Do I need to eat my ReBoot or Quickstart meals in a certain order?

This is a question that we are asked a LOT! Feel free to eat your meals in the order that your tastebuds demand! Interested in having a burger for lunch? Great choice! Thinking of the Tofu Scramble for dinner....lets go! Just remember to add a crunchy salad on the side!

I eat 21 meals a week (breakfast, lunch and dinner) - why does the Reboot send me 12 and not 21?

This is a terrific question! A lot of thought went into our program. Our Coaches start the educational portion of our program right away by helping you learn how to make healthy, plant based breakfast choices each day, then using Plantable meals for lunch and dinner. We provide six days of meals, again giving you the opportunity to work with your Coach to plan out your meals for day seven. As you repeat this process throughout your 28 day program (with the support of your Coach) we find that our customers are much more successful in meal planning after the program has come to an end.

If I have an allergy, can I still order Plantable?

All of our meals are prepared in our kitchen in Brooklyn and we take cross-contamination very seriously. Each meal you have to choose from displays the ingredients and nutrition information so you can select the meals that best accommodate your needs. If you have and are concerned about a life-threatening allergy, please contact us at hello@plantable.com to speak with us first before placing an order. However, due to the nature of our business, we cannot screen each meal box individually, so we ask that you carefully select your meals in order to avoid your particular allergen.

How many calories are in a typical plantable meal?

On Plantable, while there may be some portion and calorie reduction,

your weight loss is primarily coming from the expulsion of fat and water,

reversing the storage of fat from the Crappy Food Cycle. That said, for those that are interested, our lunches range from 330 - 550 calories with an average of 420, and our dinners range from 430 - 650 with an average of 530. 

If Plantable is plant-based, will I get enough protein?

Absolutely. Plants and grains have protein too. Each meal is designed to provide plant-based protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates for a well-rounded nutrient profile. For example, our fan favorite “Hippie Brunch Burrito” is completely plant-based and is packed with 21 grams of protein.

I am very active; will I be hungry?

Plantable is about feeling good, not feeling hungry. If you work out consistently (kudos to you!), you may consider adding an extra snack or bulk up your side salad to ensure you’re meeting your needs.

How do I learn more about the ingredients and nutrition content in Plantable’s meals?

When selecting your Plantable meals, simply click on the "i" , the apple or the three dots in the upper left hand corner of the meal photo. What is the cutoff date to place my Plantable order for the week?

All orders for the following week must be placed by Saturday evening at 11:59pm EST.

Can I order more than one of the same Plantable prepared meals?

Absolutely! Each Plantable order is made up of 12 single-serving prepared meals of your choice. So if you are ordering for a household and want to enjoy the same meal(s) you can simply order multiple quantities of the same meal(s).

When will my card be charged?

Your card will be charged as soon as you’ve placed your order.

Who should I contact if I need to make changes to my order (delivery address, ship date, etc.)?

How can I update my billing or shipping information?

How are my meals shipped to me?

Great question! Plantable uses UPS for all deliveries and orders are shipped via one day ground or two day air depending on where you are located!

Where does Plantable deliver?

Plantable currently ships to 48 states; all zip codes in the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

How do I track my Plantable delivery?

You will receive an email with your UPS tracking information at 5pm est the day your shipment leaves the Plantable kitchen. You can track your shipment at www.UPS.com or by downloading the UPS My Choice App. 

Can I choose the delivery date for my prepared meals?

You cannot choose your specific delivery date. Plantable ships out from their Brooklyn facility on Monday of every week (unless Monday is a national holiday, in which case shipments are moved to Tuesday) and depending on your location you will receive your delivery via either 1- or 2-day UPS. When you enter your desired Monday ship date and your shipping address at checkout, it will display which delivery type you are and when you will receive your delivery.

Some of my meals arrived cold, but no longer frozen. Can I still eat them?

We always plan for our meals to have a little more coolant should they have an extra day in transit. The important thing is that they arrive cool to the touch. If so, from a food safety perspective, they may be safely re-frozen. When you come to thaw those meals, then eat them within a couple of days of thawing. If you do not wish to re-freeze meals, refrigerate them and consume those meals within 3 or so days.

Do I need to be home to receive a delivery?

No, our UPS shipments do not require a signature upon delivery.

How are Plantable’s meals kept fresh during delivery?

Boxes are carefully packaged and insulated to arrive at your doorstep still frozen. If your meals are ever thawed upon arrival, please contact Plantable at orders@plantable.com
