Your New Favorite, #PlantableApproved Snack: Spicy Roasted Chickpeas
Most of us should be able to survive the 3-4 hours in between meals without constantly reaching for snacks. That is, if we've consumed nutritionally substantial and balanced meals. However, when truly feeling hungry (and not just bored…), choose real food that’s full of fiber, protein and healthy fats.
Allow us to introduce you to these delicious, perfectly-spiced roasted chickpeas. We love keeping these in our bag for when hunger hits or using them as a salad topper for extra fiber, protein and spicy goodness.
Spicy Roasted Chickpeas
2 15 oz cans of chickpeas
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt and pepper, to taste
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix chickpeas with olive oil, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Roast for 25-30 minutes, until brown and crispy.
